MIP participates in Transitional Justice School for young people legal professionals

On 28 and 29 October 2025, the Mechanism Information Programme for Affected Communities (MIP) participated in the Fifth School on Transitional Justice, held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The event was organized by the partner organization Pravnik and supported by the European Union and UNDP. It brought together 24 law and social science students from across Bosnia and Herzegovina.

President Gatti Santana meets with President of the United Nations General Assembly

 

The President of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (Mechanism), Judge Graciela Gatti Santana, was honoured to meet yesterday with the President of the 80th session of the General Assembly, Her Excellency Ms. Annalena Baerbock of the Federal Republic of Germany, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

MIP Publishes Macedonian Translation of the Guide for History Teachers

The Mechanism Information Programme for Affected Communities (MIP) has today released the complete Macedonian translation of the Guide for History Teachers: How to Use Archival Material of the ICTY and Mechanism in Teaching the History of the 1990s Conflicts. This new translation makes this valuable resource more accessible to history educators working in the Macedonian language, further broadening its impact across the region.

MIP holds lecture on crimes committed in Kosovo

On 6 August 2025, the Mechanism Information Programme for Affected Communities (MIP) held an online lecture on judicially-established facts relating to crimes committed in Kosovo during 1998 and 1999. The lecture was part of the Summer School for Transitional Justice, organized by the Humanitarian Law Centre Kosovo and held in Prizren. Participants included students of law, sociology and journalism, civil society activists, and young professionals of different ethnicities from several municipalities across Kosovo.
