The International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT) is pleased to announce the release of a video tutorial to help users navigate the Unified Court Records (UCR) database more effectively.

The video tutorial offers more streamlined, accessible and user-friendly instructions for searching records in the UCR database and was developed in direct response to feedback obtained from a User Survey. It provides a step-by-step walkthrough of the search functionalities covering title and full-text searches, as well as searching by specific elements such as case name, exhibit number, and date range. It demonstrates how to filter search results, locate related records and available translations.

The video tutorial aims to facilitate more effective and enhanced user access to the public judicial records of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR), the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and the Mechanism.

You are invited to view the video tutorial at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92r6ZPSsY0g. The UCR is accessible at the link ucr.irmct.org with prior registration for first-time users. You may also consult the full UCR User Guide, which is available on the database homepage.
