Remember Hrtkovci Victims
On 6 May 1992, the President of the Serbian Radical Party, Vojislav Šešelj, gave a speech in Hrtkovci, a village in Serbia, calling for the expulsion of ethnic Croats. At the time, Hrtkovci had a majority Croatian population.
Soon after, the pressure on the Croatian residents became unbearable and many were forced to leave, including by way of housing exchanges with Serbian refugees from Croatia.
